Every week I say “wow what a crazy week” and then the next one is crazier. I like to think things will chill a little bit, but for the better part of 45 years, my life has been crazy on some level.
Lately there’s been a lot of shifting happening, personally and professionally. The political climate has me so stressed and troubled that even with recent med increases to combat seasonal dips, I’m barely hanging on. It’s like an added layer of stress. I need to be more conscious of where I spend my money, how I conduct myself, and a million tiny things. I’m probably asking for another increase next week because I’m struggling bad.
I don’t want to be doom and gloom, but we’re in unprecedented times in America. We’re facing changes we may not be able to go back from, at least not for a very long time. We need to lean on each other and understand no one is coming to save us. We have to weather this storm as a people, currently without any effective leadership.
But don’t let this consume you. You still have to do what you need to do from day to day, and that’s feed and house yourself and your loved ones. That’s it. The face of how you do that may be changing, but those are your biggest responsibilities. After that, take care of others as best you can.
On the professional end, work is work. Tattooing is oversaturated and slow, but I’ve been managing. My books aren’t like they used to be, and I’m not picky with what I do. If I’m capable of doing it, I will. While I’m doing alright, I still have plenty of time in my books. Right now is a great time to get tattooed because I have time, I have stacks of special deal designs, and I’m always running specials. Let me know if you want to come in.

Trades welcome
Some people know that I’m a reseller in my off time, and I thought it would be great to open myself up to bartering. I mainly deal with video games and toys, so if you have that kind of stuff and want to unload it in exchange for money off your tattoo, I’ll give you eBay resale value for it.
