It’s been a hell of a rough ride the last several years. A lot has changed for all of us, and the changes in me have been drastic. It hasn’t all been bad, but it hasn’t all been good either. But it’s change, and change always has some growing pains. Good and bad ebb and flow. Sunrise, sunset.
My sobriety is still strong, and I’ll be coming up on ten years. If you have a problem with drugs and alcohol, let me tell you that there’s always a life on the other side. And while it’s not all roses, handling issues with a sober mind is way better, trust me.
If you’re trying to get sober, just remember it’s one day at a time. Sometimes it’s one hour. Just get through the next hour, then do it until you get a day. Then just get through the day over and over and before you know it, ten years have passed. I have faith in you.
I’ve been caring for my mental health as best I can since my last episode. It fucked me up, bad. While I am battling a depressive episode right now, I’m on a positive regimen with my meds and I’m making necessary adjustments as I go.
If you have mental health issues, just know you’re not alone. I know it sucks and it feels lonely and sad, but you’re not alone. You’ll get through it if you stick it out and take the proper steps as best you can.
Closing the Philly shop
On July 31st, 2024, I closed the doors on the Philly Art Machine location. 13 years was a damn good run and I had the opportunity to work with so many good artists in that time. It was bittersweet, but it was a page that had to be turned. I tattoo strictly at Art Machine Bensalem now.
Travel
I’ve decided this year is the year to start traveling again. I’m kicking it off with Fairfax VA in February followed by Naples NY in March. I’m booking both now.
Weekly highlights
I’ve decided to start sharing weekly highlights in blog posts! A couple tattoos, a couple drawings, just to let people know what I’ve been up to. So here’s a few things from this week.
I’ve also been working on a lot of drawings! Any of these designs are available to be tattooed for a flat rate of $500. Hit the contact form if you want one!
That’s basically it for now. I’m looking forward to February, heading to Virginia, and doing some fun tattoos for everyone. And remember, I do all styles, and no tattoo is too big or too small. I’m a man of the people.
